Back to Premier League we could snatch a point here if they go down to 9 men in the first 10 minutes

I haven't felt as pessimistic about a fixture in some time. We have absolutely no chance of getting a result and i expect our goal difference to be absolutely fucked by the end of the weekend

Always optimistic. Negatives- we’re very negative, there seems to be no plan and little confidence. Positives- it’s a London derby, crowd hopefully up for it, the Arse are starting to feel the pressure. Bowen could be key. He’s given Zinchenko a tough time before. Respect the point! 1-1.

Moyes will play for 0-0.

It won't work.

Bookies have it right. 9/2 for a home win,14/5 even for a draw. Fuck me.

We're going to get smashed no matter what 11 players he puts out in his rigid ineffective outdated inflexible shambles of a system. Entire game will be us chasing shadows in our own half while they play through our rigid lines with ease and create chance after chance, looking like 11 v 9 men somehow.

Genuinely I'd just write this off and focus on Thursday- which of course we have to do now anyway thanks to that embarrassment of a 'performance' last night.

This is unwinnable. No other way of putting it. We don't even have a prayer of a jammy 1-0, and I've never said that under ANY manager before. I've always had hope we can spring a surprise on anyone, but under Moyes this season we won't. Because we won't even try to score seriously. I'll be surprised if we have more than one shot on target and 25% of the ball, and more than 10% of the game is played in their third of the pitch.

I might get a few pelters for being pessimistic, but this is what he's reduced me to. I've no hope at all. We will get an absolute drubbing, battered in every statistic possible, and be lucky not to concede five or six goals.

Would be hard to be positive with this in previous seasons, but the sheer state of us right as one of the worst footballing sides in the country (at all levels) coupled with them being a top side right now, there is only one result here. If in any doubt let's not forget Moyes writes these games off anyway, and it's sandwiched between European games.

Just hope we don't completely embarrass ourselves in front of a watching world.

After yesterday's performanceI fear it might be another Newcastle... however I think we might raise our game.

Be nice to put a spanner in there title assiprations, like dates of yore against the manxs..

I think Bon Accord's British record is in serious danger. It might well go again against City.

Possibly the only positive that may come out of this is we lose heavily enough for Sullivan to finally pull the trigger. This is literally his last opportunity, unless we actually lose on Thursday in which case he should be fired and removed from the stadium before even going back into the dressing room after that game.

It's almost hard to believe how bad it's got. We are visibly regressing from game to game, looking like a pub side. Even the performances against Everton and Forest at home were streets better than what has been served up in the last 3-4 matches. How bad can it actually get before breaking point?

It's the same feeling of inevitability now as a few years back when Man City used to average 5 goals a game when we first moved in the shithole.

Couldn't be less confident, and nor could our manager. He'd bite there hands off for 0-2, damage limitation.

1-5 our goal to come from a dubious VAR pen.

Moyes “I told the players they did well for large parts of the game, we need to remember what we have achieved over the last 2 seasons - we’re up for the fight and we’ll go again”

I won’t be going back apart from Declan’s fare well vs Leeds as my 6 year old worships Rice. Other than that, until that cancerous cunt is gone, I’m done.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
Charoo - You're forgetting 'we had a tough midweek match which took a lot out of the players'. Hardly worth picking a team or predicting the outcome which will be an easy away win. Arsenal could rest a few players but have a strong bench if needed.

Pre match talk 'don't forget chaps back to Fab as quick as you can then pit pat around our area then boot it the other end and who knows you might pick out our loan striker. When it comes back look to get the ball and lets have more pit pat'. I could cry if it wasn't so utterly pathetic!!

Sadly can't see us beating the Gunners it will be 2or 3 nil for them without getting out of 2nd gear. Only twice in the last 8 or 9 seasons have we beat them I believe

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
Agree - not a bloody hope of anything

Open top bus if we get a corner, let alone a shot vaguely on target

In fact, on the goal difference front, if we emerge from the two Mancs, Scouse and Arse with anything less than -15 across the games we have had a touch

Still, not to worry, we will soon have Lefttwofeetinhismouth along with his wingman PDC to tell us all life with the Scotcher is a bowl of fucking cherries

The Moyes Mentality in approaching this game:

Win - All your fantasies just came true at once

Draw - A Magnificent result

Narrow loss (1-2 goal margin) - an ok result considering its Arsenal, goal diff not battered, on to the next

Significant loss (3-4 goal margin) - bad day at the office but its Arsenal

Worse than that - Yes a Disaster, no spinning it

I'm going Defensive performance and a Narrow Loss

There are weaknesses in the arsenal team. Just depends if Moyes has guts to exploit them.

Holding is the obvious weak.

I fear this result could be the straw that breaks the camels back. The players already look totally dejected and off the pace. Its been clear for months they do not want to play for Moyes and have no respect for him or his outdated methods.

I see a 5 or 6 goal loss and it could finally kill the players and send us into a spin.

Why the fuck are we going into this game with Moyes still in charge. It's just unwinnable. Our only hope is a defeat that doesn't break the players totally. How fucking grim is that?

My 9 year old daughter wants me to take her to her first game. I've wanted to get her over there. And I got offered two tickets last night and backed them. I just can't take her as what will unfold could put her off for life. I'll wait until Moyes has fucked off before taking her.
